This is the Original (1sh) 1926 Window Card THE BLACKBIRD. To promote this movie when it was released in 1926. It is not a reprint nor a reproduction. The movie stars Lon Chaney Sr.

Owen Moore, Renee Adoree, Doris Lloyd, Andy MacLennan, and William Weston. It was directed by Tod Browning. This restored movie Window Card measures 14" x 22". This original movie Window Card is graded C8.5, Very Fine to Near Mint.

Original movie Lobby Cards are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc. Prior to restoration, this Window Card was graded C7 Fine/Very Fine.

Pinholes, and some minor creasing along the bottom. The borders have been airbrushed and a few surface scuffs were repaired. Restoration also enhanced the colors of the image. The Window Card THE BLACKBIRD now displays beautifully.

The aforementioned post-restoration flaws are unobtrusive to the appearance of this original Window Card. We believe that the original Window Card THE BLACKBIRD has excellent investment value. There are not too many originals in circulation that star Lon Chaney Sr, and originals prior to the 1930s are rare. In addition, the very high grade/condition of the original Window Card, after approximately 90 years, is amazing.
