Hi, I started collecting vinyl Lp's and 45's in 1971, I have 20,000 + which I have moved now 5 times. So it's time to let at least half go. Most are in at least Excellent condition. I can't listen to them all, so most will only have visual grading, any with a high start price, I will listen too, and play grade. I TRY TO BE AS ACCURATE AS POSSIBLE IN MY DESCRIPTIONS, SO IF THERE IS A PROBLEM PLEASE CONTACT ME FIRST SO WE CAN SORT THE ISSUE OUT.

UK EMI HARVEST 1971 1st Press. "ALL TIME CLASSIC PURPLE LINE UP" ALBUM. C OVER:- EXCELLENT+, VINYL:- NEAR MINT. Cover swopping is common on this LP to it is important to define a 1st Press Cover correctly. First edition covers have a darker textured gatefold sleeve (depicting five b&w live photos inside) - the texturing is deep and defined, the spine is thicker, and the cover is thick. The opening edges had one'flat sealed' at the factory, and the other open. The cover is also of'1 piece' manufacture - folding over at the bottom and glued internally at the top. ANY COVER THAT IS:- thinner, has small texturing or less defined texturing, is paler, is smooth, is a'2 piece' cover (glued internally at the top and bottom), or has 1 edge'folded over' and factory sealed is a LATER COVER and is not original.

Appears at the beginning of the circular text on both labels - later copies have'EMI Records' instead. Initial quantities came with a lyrics insert printed in purple on both sides - and this was discontinued in 1973. All 1st Pressings come in a'polylined' EMI/Harvest inner sleeve depicting other artists' current releases on the Harvest label. This inner was discontinued in 1974.

Date code 7109 (September 1971) and printer's credit on inner gatefold. Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Album Devised And Produced By Deep Purple For Edwards/Coletta Productions. NEAR MINT :- I can assure you that this 1st press is a good one, Not play checked, I can only say it's in fantastic condition, no scuffs. Excellent+ :- condition:- Rarely seen in this condition, UK sleeve press, is so hard to find, have a look at the photo's it's textured unlaminated sleeve has NO writing or damage.

Excellent :- The unique lyric sheet is now rare with Original. EMI/Harvest inner sleeve depicting other artists. Being the very fragile inner sleeve is a great indicator of the amount of usage the album has had, no creases, or tear through, I would say the inner is the best you could find! And considering how fragile these are..... They are 50 years old, quite unbelievable intact condition.

Light Spindle, Clean, No Writing, no damage. In order to assist everyone who buys and sells rare discs, Record Collector magazine has originated a set of standards for the condition of second-hand records, I have added a (+) or (-) to my gradings where applicable. MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD : The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc.

The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. Items must be paid for within five days. However, if for any reason this should not be so, please contact me. I use preformed and standard mailers with stiffeners.

I always take the vinyl out in its inner sleeve and place on top of the cover. This is then placed into a soft protective sleeve and packaged with stiffeners for full protection. PLEASE NOTE I DO NOT SEND TO RUSSIA.

I aim to provide an excellent service, so please get in touch if you have any questions. Thank you and good luck! This item is in the category "Music\Vinyl Records". The seller is "dreamwave7" and is located in this country: GB.
